McCain Campaign Disses Dungeons & Dragons…WTF?

Apparently Michael Goldfarb of the McCain campaign thinks so little of Obama supporters that he thinks they’re on the level of us (*gasp*) Dungeons & Dragons players! I know what you’re thinking — how are the two related? Someone in the GOP must be in sore need of a good Gather Information check… From the John McCain blog:

It may be typical of the pro-Obama Dungeons & Dragons crowd to disparage a fellow countryman’s memory of war from the comfort of mom’s basement, but most Americans have the humility and gratitude to respect and learn from the memories of men who suffered on behalf of others.

Ahhh — I get it! Obama supporters are nerds because they blog about McCain from their mom’s basement, just like D&D dorks are nerds because they pretend to be 13th level Druid Half Elves that slay orcs in their mom’s basement! Makes sense to me!

  1. So, we are out of touch with what real war is like because we’ve never been on the front lines and just see re-enactments over video screens and move our little toy pieces around a map while our DM tells us what happens. That’s very different from our Commander In Chief who… hasn’t ever been on the front lines and just sees re-enactments over video screens and moves his little toy pieces around a map while Dick Cheney tells him what happens…

  2. How many people play WOW? Imagine if a candidate could rally THOSE troops to their cause…
