Howard the Duck Creator Dies

Steve Gerber – the creator of the cigar chomping Howard the Duck, has died at the age of 60. He suffered from pulmonary fibrosis.

Gerber is not only known for his creation of everyone’s favorite flying presidential candidate, but he also co-created Marvel’s “Omega the Unknown”, and created “Thundarr the Barbarian”. Gerber also worked in television as a story editor on “G.I. Joe” and “Dungeon & Dragons.” More recently, Gerber was working on a revival of the DC Comics’ Dr. Fate series at the time of his death.

No news in regards to whether or not Gerber finished the Dr. Fate series. A tragic loss for everyone involved in comics. RIP Steve.
